Pressure mounts on EU to isolate Russia "Calls mounted on 31 August for Russia to face greater international isolation because of its invasion and partition of Georgia as European leaders prepared for an emergency summit on the Caucasus crisis and to review the basis of Europe's relations with Russia ... Gordon Brown today took a tough position, indicating that Russia's membership of the G8 grouping of big industrial democracies could be frozen, an option that found some support from Germany ... But France is worried that any tough action agreed by 27 European leaders at tomorrow afternoon's summit in Brussels will provoke Russian retaliation and undermine its chances of playing the peacemaker in the Caucasus ..." 8/31

Pyongyang plays a wild card "The timing of Pyongyang's announcement that North Korea intends to resume its development of nuclear warheads was either uncannily brilliant, or incredibly dumb ... Coming in the midst of the Democratic national convention in Denver, the statement from the North Korean Foreign Ministry had American officials talking, but was barely noted after a brief flurry of reports that the North had "suspended" the dismantlement of its nuclear program ..." 8/30
Iran warns any attack would start 'world war' "A senior Iranian military commander has warned that any US or Israeli attack on the Islamic republic would start a world war, the state news agency IRNA reported on Saturday." Related: Israel planning unilateral Iran attack [Press TV, Iran] An Israeli government committee is preparing a contingency plan to attack Iran, should diplomatic efforts fail to derail Iran’s nuclear program, Israel’s daily Ma’ariv reports ... Ephraim Sneh, an Israeli Labor Party lawmaker, has sent an eight-point document to both US presidential candidates, saying “There is no government in Jerusalem that would ever reconcile itself to a nuclear Iran.” | Abdullah II: Israel can’t defeat Iran [Press TV, Iran] "Jordan warns against a possible Israeli attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities, saying Tel Aviv is not capable of defeating Tehran. “An attack against Iran would provoke reprisals and Israel doesn’t have the capability to destroy Iran’s nuclear sites”, says the King of Jordan. “Iranians assert that their nuclear program has no military nature and an American report, which was published recently, apparently recognizes their claim,” said King Abdullah II in an interview with French magazine L’Express. National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) said in September 2007 that Iran is not seeking nuclear weapons. Yet the Bush administration, ignoring the country’s NIE’s conclusion, claims that Iran’s nuclear program poses a “threat” to Europe and the United States."
U.S. ship to visit Sevastopol naval base "A U.S. vessel, involved in delivering aid to Georgia, will visit the Ukrainian port of Sevastopol, used by Russia's Black Sea Fleet on September 1, a source in the city administration said on Saturday. The U.S. Coastguard cutter Dallas, which recently delivered humanitarian aid to Georgia's Black Sea port at Batumi, will make the visit to Sevastopol, which Russia leases from Ukraine, at the invitation of Kiev. "The ship will pay a working visit to Sevastopol on September 1. The Dallas will arrive in Sevastopol from the Georgian port of Batumi," the source said. Tensions between Russia and the West have intensified after a build up in the Black Sea of U.S. and NATO naval vessels delivering humanitarian aid to Georgia. In an apparent response, Russia sent a group of warships, including the Moskva missile cruiser to Sukhumi, the capital of Abkhazia. Russia's Black Sea Fleet uses the Sevastopol base under agreements signed in 1997. Ukrainian President Victor Yushchenko announced earlier this year that Ukraine would not extend the lease beyond 2017. Yushchenko signed a decree earlier this month requiring prior notice of all movements by Russian naval vessels and aircraft from the Sevastopol base in the Crimea. The decree is not has not yet come into force, but Russia views it as a provocation and is likely to resist any Ukrainian attempts to restrict the deployment of its navy."

McCain and advisor Scheunemann instrumental in encouraging Balkan conflict as election strategy for GOP "Real News Video, "Putin accuses US of staging Georgia conflict". Info: McCain foreign policy advisor Zionist Randy Scheunemann, whose company Orion Strategies pocketed $290,000 given to him by Georgia president Mikhail Saakashvili during the 15-month period from January 2007 to March 2008. Saakashvili wanted Scheuneman to get Georgia a NATO war guarantee to get America to fight Russia on behalf of Georgia, and would not have attacked the Russian South Ossetia province without assurances from Scheunemann. As a strategy conceived by McCain and company, it gives him a presidential stance to have a 'new cold war to fight', and is calculated to make Obama seem weak politically in terms of foreign policy posture. It's a pre-election setup, and McCain, who is unstable at room temperature, is involved up to his leathery neck. Related: Scheunemann Lobbies for Soviet Bloc and loves weapons Randy Scheunemann, John McCain's top foreign policy adviser, is into guns. After all, in 1997 he was arrested for having a shotgun and several rounds of ammunition in his car on the grounds of the U.S. Capitol. And in addition to his extensive lobbying work on behalf of former Soviet bloc countries, he's also a longtime lobbyist for gun-rights groups. But it now looks like, for Scheunemann, doing the bidding of the gun lobby takes precedence over efforts to combat terrorism. Scheunemann lobbied on behalf of the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) against a bill that aims to close a gun-control loophole that inhibits the government from stopping people on terrorist watch-lists from buying guns. According to Newsweek, "the bill was inspired by an official audit covering a five-month period in 2004 which found that, because of the loophole, the Feds had to greenlight 35 out of 44 cases where a gun buyer was on a terrorist watch list ... Scheunemann's firm was paid $120,000 by NSSF in 2007, and another $60,000 so far this year. Scheunemann himself took a leave of absence from the firm earlier this year to work on McCain's campaign."

Russian analyst points to link between Georgian attack and Iran "A senior Russian military analyst said on Wednesday that the U.S. and NATO by arming Tbilisi used the conflict in Georgia as a dress rehearsal for a future military operation in Iran. Col. Gen Leonid Ivashov, president of the Academy of Geopolitical Studies, told a news conference at RIA Novosti, “We are close to a serious conflict - U.S. and NATO preparations on a strategic scale are ongoing. In the operation the West conducted on Georgian soil against Russia - South Ossetians were the victims or hostages of it - we can see a rehearsal for an attack on Iran. There is a great deal of “new features” that today are being fine tuned in the theater of military operations.”
Putin: U.S. Staged Georgian Conflict "In an interview with CNN, Russia’s Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has stated that the Georgian-South Ossetian conflict may have been manufactured by the White House for domestic political reasons. Putin also says that preliminary reports show U.S. citizens may have been present in the combat zone ... "We have serious reason to believe that American citizens were right at the heart of the military action. This would have implications for American domestic policy." Putin told CNN ... "If this is confirmed, then it raises the suspicion that someone in the US specially created this conflict to worsen the situation and create an advantage in the competitive struggle for one of the candidates for the post of president of the United States." he continued ..." We know that McCain is not stable at room temperature. Good choice!
Japanese invent car that runs on water "A Japanese company has invented an electric-powered, and environmentally friendly, car that it says runs solely on water. Genepax unveiled the car in the western city of Osaka on Thursday, saying that a litre of any kind of water -- rain, river or sea -- was all you needed to get the engine going for about an hour at a speed of 80 km. "The car will continue to run as long as you have a bottle of water to top up from time to time," Genepax CEO Kiyoshi Hirasawa told local broadcaster TV Tokyo. "It does not require you to build up an infrastructure to recharge your batteries, which is usually the case for most electric cars," he added. Once the water is poured into the tank at the back of the car, the a generator breaks it down and uses it to create electrical power, TV Tokyo said ... "

British families pay almost £800 per year in 'dishonest' green taxes "Figures published by the TaxPayers' Alliance (TPA) suggest hard-working Britons pay £19.6billion a year too much in tax aimed at covering its carbon footprint. They said it was 'unjust' on families who were being forced to tighten their belts as they struggled to pay the soaring cost of food, energy and home loans. An analysis of official statistics found that the Government raked in £33billion in 'green' taxes in 2007-08 - up from £30.9billion the year earlier. The levies included fuel duty, vehicle excise duty, landfill tax, climate change levy and the renewables obligation, which is 'the cost to the taxpayer of power companies generating electricity from environmentally-friendly energy sources.' Subtracting the £8.8billion spent by the Department of Transport on roads last year gives a 'total burden' of 'green taxes and charges' of £24.2billion. But the 'social cost' of the UK's entire 'output of greenhouse gases' which' harm the environment' was £4.6billion, according to estimates from the 'highly-respected' 'Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change' (IPCC)." An illogical and irrational scam on a planetary scale, for a number of reasons. Possible Obama 'assassination plot' gets little US coverage "Oddly, an apparent plot to assassinate Barack Obama during his acceptance speech in Denver that led to four arrests on Sunday is getting very little coverage in the US MSM. It would appear that a blackout is now in force on this story in the US MSM.* Both Ha'aretz and the Jerusalem Post covered the story detailing the FBI arrests of four subjects now in custody. Unsubstantiated reports from Moscow allege that the plot was foiled after the FSB intercepted documents in Georgia describing a project code-named: "Operation Drago" -- an assassination plot that was allegedly engineered by a rogue element of high-ranking Israeli military officials. Ironically, Obama's opponent, John McCain, made a blatant appeal to the racist right by appearing at the massive outlaw biker rally at Sturgis, South Dakota, an annual convention of Neo-Nazis, white supremacists and anti-semites. Lebanese television is now covering the story of the Denver assassination plot. Some of the international reports describe the confessions of one the suspects to his part in the plot to assassinate Obama that was scheduled to take place during his acceptance speech at Invesco Field this Thursday by using a high-powered rifle from a high vantage point that would have provided a clear and unobstructed shot at the podium. Yahoo has covered the story, but its reports do not contain the rich detail of the accounts published by foreign news agencies." Joe Biden - Warmonger, Wordmonger And Political Hit Man "... Biden remains convinced that it is up to the United States to dictate the form of government and economic system of virtually every country in the world. His specialty is blatant interference in the internal affairs of sovereign states, with left-cover of soft power issues like human rights and humanitarian concerns furnishing his favorite pretexts. Biden has learned nothing from the Iraq debacle except that Iraq was not the right victim; more appropriate victims and more effective methods will have to be found, argues Biden. The real lesson of Iraq (and Lebanon 2006) is that US-British imperialism and world domination are finished historically, but this is lost on Biden ... Biden is the author of the odious plan to balkanize, partition, and subdivide Iraq into three zones: a Kurdish state designed to carve up Iran, Syria and Turkey as well as Iraq; a landlocked and oil- poor Sunni desert entity; and an oil-rich Shiastan in the south that might absorb the Arabistan or Achwaz province of Iran is a later breakup scenario for Iran. Biden's plan is a continuation of the Bernard Lewis plan to break up the existing states of the Middle East in a way destined to create a mosaic of pseudo- independent, squabbling mini-states or micro-states. This approach places Biden squarely behind the Zbigniew Brzezinski "dignity" doctrine of breaking up the existing nation states of the world in favor of a crazy quilt of micro-states based on ethnic and religious parochialism and particularism; not one of these micro- states could stand up to Exxon-Mobil or JP Morgan Chase ..."

Mr. Polak is claiming damages from the IMF to cover medical costs and home care he and his wife have needed since the fall in November at the eighth annual Jacques Polak Research Conference. LaRouche Denounces `Obama's Godfather' George Soros Behind Attempt To Start World War III in the Caucasus "Lyndon LaRouche denounced British agent George Soros, for his hand in the ongoing London-led efforts to trigger World War III in the Caucasus. Soros is the financial and political godfather of both Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili and the purported Democratic Party Presidential nominee, Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.). In the late hours of Aug. 7, as President Saakashvili completed a nationwide television address, claiming to seek a diplomatic solution to the crisis in the autonomous region of South Ossetia, he in fact ordered Georgian troops to fire on Russian peacekeepers, who were in South Ossetia as part of a United Nations mandated force, that has been there since 1994. Greedy Power Brokers Mistakenly Take Themselves Out During US Collapse Plan "The Big Sting Two is now being implemented by the Illuminati, but they have run into some major snafus that are ruining their attempt to bring America to its knees in preparation for the creation of a one-world system of government, with its associated police state, financial system and one-world religion. The plan was to bring down the US economic and political juggernaut while leaving their own interests either in tact, or perhaps only marginally damaged due to the takedown of our economy. Insane McCain Criticized for Hawkish Remarks about Russia 'On August 17th, U.S. senators criticized Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., for his hawkish rhetoric with respect to Russia ... Democratic Sen. Evan Bayh from Indiana recounted the hawkish rhetoric of McCain in the interview with CBS. "If we were Georgians and the Russians were invading our country and killing our people, we'd be in a state of war. And clearly, that's not what we want," CBS quoted Bayh as saying when referring to McCain’s comment. "And John, sometimes, he's a good person, but he's a little bit given to this kind of bellicose rhetoric, which has a tendency to inflame conflicts rather than to diffuse them.”
Vaccines Found to Cause Diabetes "Two new studies showing that vaccines increase the risk of diabetes have been published in the Open Pediatric Medicine Journal. In a prior study, published in the journal Autoimmunity, Dr. J. Bartholomew Classen of Classen Immunotherapies and David Carey Classen of the University of Utah compared more than 100,000 children who had received between one and four doses of the hemophilus vaccine with more than 100,000 unvaccinated children. The Classens found that after seven years, children in the vaccination group had a 26 percent higher risk of developing diabetes than children in the non-vaccine group. This amounted to an extra 54 cases of diabetes per 100,000 children vaccinated. The Classens noted that the vaccine itself is only projected to prevent seven deaths and seven to 26 cases of permanent disability per 100,000 children. "Our results conclusively prove there is a causal relationship between immunization schedules and diabetes," J. Bartholomew Classen said at the time ... "The recent data shows that common childhood vaccines are especially dangerous to children with a strong family history of diabetes," Classen said. "Parents of a child with a strong family history of insulin-dependent diabetes ... should know that the administration of a full series of vaccines may have a greater than 5 percent chance of causing their child to develop diabetes ... Another study, published in the same issue of the Open Pediatric Medicine Journal, demonstrated a connection between the hepatitis B vaccine and Type 2 diabetes."

At the time, officials and industry sources said Beijing was interested in awarding contracts to Israeli companies to serve as consultants or suppliers to Chinese authorities ... In the end, the sources said, Israeli companies were either shut out of the Chinese market or forced to operate through third countries. A key casualty was Israel's Athena Human & Technology Integrated Solutions, a major security subcontractor in the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004 ... The only direct Israeli security contractor in China was identified as International Security and Defense Systems, which helped provide security to the Olympics in 1992, 2000 and 2004. Report: Military strikes unlikely to destroy Iran's centrifuge program (U.S. puts brakes on Israeli plan for attack on Iran nuclear facilities) " ... The American administration has rejected an Israeli request for military equipment and support that would improve Israel's ability to attack Iran's nuclear facilities ... The Americans viewed the request, which was transmitted (and rejected) at the highest level, as a sign that Israel is in the advanced stages of preparations to attack Iran. They therefore warned Israel against attacking, saying such a strike would undermine American interests. They also demanded that Israel give them prior notice if it nevertheless decided to strike Iran ...
